Maryland Women of Worship (MDWOW) began in 2006. It all started with a dream one night…and then it happened. Dreams are funny. Either they will happen, or they’ll just drift away into the distance. My dream started with a weekend event, a few women from Maryland attending the event, and a desire for them to share a piece of their heart joined with scripture written in a devotional booklet. Our focus and desire is helping women in varied stages of life. We particularly want to assist women in areas of leadership and where we are challenged by society. We realize we can not do it all but; certainly we can help in small ways as our organization continues to grow. A few of the targeted areas consist of training women who have been called into church ministry, (especially leadership), to assist women who struggle with domestic violence through advocacy,
